Resin driveways in Surrey.

Pure Resin are resin bound driveway specialists, located at Cedar Court in Cobham and working across the whole of Surrey. New driveways, revivals and restorations, laid by our own team and finished to a standard we are happy to put our name on.

Across the county

A Surrey team, on Surrey ground.

A resin bound driveway is only as good as what sits beneath it, and in Surrey that changes every few miles. We lay driveways on the sandy heath around Woking and Virginia Water, the chalk of the North Downs above Dorking and Reigate, and the stubborn clay of the Weald further south. The surface may look the same in every photograph. The build up rarely is.

We survey, excavate, lay a permeable base and finish with a hand-graded aggregate blend chosen against your house, not from a brochure. The result is a seamless, puddle-free driveway that drains where it falls and keeps its colour through Surrey summers and winters alike.

If your existing resin driveway has gone tired, loose or grey, we revive and restore as readily as we lay new. It is often the better answer, and we will say so.

Why it matters here

Local knowledge, built in.

01

Ground conditions we already know

Surrey runs from the sand of the Bagshot beds through the chalk of the North Downs to heavy Weald clay. Each behaves differently under a driveway. We survey the ground before we price the work, so the sub-base is specified for your plot rather than a standard recipe.

02

Permeable and planning friendly

Resin bound is fully permeable, so rainwater drains through the surface rather than running into the road. That satisfies the SuDS expectations Surrey councils apply to front gardens, and in most cases means no planning application is needed.

03

Conservation areas and listed settings

From the Dorking and Farnham conservation areas to listed frontages around Guildford, we choose aggregate blends that sit quietly against period brick, flint and stone rather than fighting them.

04

Our own team, never subcontracted

The people who quote your driveway are the people who lay it. One team, one standard, whether the project is in Cobham or Cranleigh.

Common questions

Resin driveways in Surrey.

How much does a resin driveway cost in Surrey?

As a guide, most Surrey driveways fall between £80 and £120 per square metre. The range reflects how much preparation the existing surface needs, the aggregate blend you choose and the drainage the plot requires. We give you a written proposal after a site visit, with no obligation.

Do I need planning permission for a resin driveway in Surrey?

Usually not. Because resin bound is permeable, a front driveway laid in it normally falls within permitted development. Listed properties and some conservation areas are the exception, and we will tell you plainly if we think consent is needed.

How long does a resin driveway last?

A properly prepared resin bound driveway should give fifteen to twenty years of service. The base is what decides that, not the resin, which is why we spend most of our time on what you cannot see.

Can you lay resin over an existing driveway?

Often, yes. Where existing tarmac or concrete is sound and well drained, a resin bound overlay is quicker, cleaner and less costly than excavation. We core and test the base first rather than guessing.

Which parts of Surrey do you cover?

All of it. We are located at Cedar Court in Cobham, and we work from Staines and Richmond in the north to Dorking, Oxted and Farnham in the south, along with London, Sussex, Berkshire and Hampshire.
