The Service

Renewal, Repair & Restoration.

A resin bound surface is made to last for decades, but it is not maintenance free. Weather, wear and time take their toll. We clean, repair and restore existing resin bound driveways, whether we laid them or not.

01

Cleaning & Aftercare

A resin bound surface is low maintenance, not no maintenance. We deep clean with the pressure and technique the surface tolerates, treat moss, algae and weed growth at the root, lift staining, and re-seal where a surface will benefit. A periodic professional clean keeps the aggregate bright and the surface draining freely.

02

Repair

Localised problems rarely call for a whole new driveway. We carry out discreet patch repairs to sunken areas, damaged edges and isolated failures, matching the aggregate blend so the repair disappears into the original surface. Where a section was laid badly by another contractor, we cut it out cleanly and rebuild it properly.

03

Renewal & Restoration

Years of weather, wear and sunlight can leave a surface faded, thin, or shedding its stone. We assess what remains sound, restore worn areas, and revive tired driveways until they read as newly laid. Where restoration is no longer the wise investment, we will say so, and quote honestly for re-laying.

Laid by others

Not every surface can be saved. We will tell you.

Many of the surfaces we restore were laid by others. Resin bound is unforgiving of shortcuts: mixed by hand rather than in force-action mixers, laid too thin, laid in the wrong weather, or spread over an inadequate base. Problems surface within a few years, long before the material itself has failed.

Our first visit is an honest assessment. If your driveway can be cleaned, repaired or restored, we will show you exactly how, and for what. If it has reached the point where re-laying is the wiser investment, we will say so plainly. We do not sell work a surface does not need.

The Warning Signs

When a surface asks for attention.

Caught early, most of these are straightforward to put right. Left alone, small issues work their way into the surface and become expensive ones.

  • A green or grey film of algae, especially in shaded areas
  • Bare patches or aggregate coming away from the surface
  • Standing water where the surface once drained freely
  • Sunken areas along edges, drainage channels or wheel lines
  • Faded, tired colour that no longer flatters the property
  • Oil, rust or tannin staining from planters and trees

Bring your surface back to its best.
