Resin driveways in Elmbridge and Surrey.

Pure Resin are specialists in architectural resin-bound systems, located in Elmbridge at Cedar Court, Cobham. We lay, revive and restore resin driveways across Surrey and the South of England, and our home patch is where our reputation was built.

The home patch

From Cobham to Richmond.

Elmbridge is where Pure Resin began, and where we still walk most of our sites personally. The sandy soils of Cobham and Oxshott, the period properties of Esher and Thames Ditton and the riverside residences of Weybridge and Walton-on-Thames each bring their own ground conditions, architecture and planning considerations, and we know them well.

Beyond the borough, we carry the same standard across Surrey and into south-west London. Wherever the project, the team on the driveway is our own, never subcontracted.

Areas covered

Cobham, Esher, Weybridge, Walton-on-Thames, Oxshott, Claygate, Hersham, Thames Ditton, West Molesey, Long Ditton, Virginia Water, Leatherhead, Effingham, East and West Horsley, Ripley, Woking, Guildford, Richmond upon Thames, Kingston upon Thames and Wimbledon.

Town by town

A resin driveway in your street.

No two Elmbridge frontages are the same, and the ground beneath them differs street by street. Here is what we tend to find in each of our towns.

Resin driveways in Cobham

Our own doorstep. Cobham sits on free-draining sand, which suits resin bound beautifully, though the older gravel carriage drives around Fairmile and the Cobham conservation area need careful edging so the new surface reads as though it was always there.

Resin driveways in Esher

A borough of Georgian frontages, sweeping in-and-out drives and mature trees. We work around root protection zones rather than through them, and favour warmer aggregate blends that settle against red brick and render.

Resin driveways in Weybridge

St George's Hill and the Oatlands roads bring long approach drives where surface flatness shows from a hundred metres. These are jobs for a proper laser-levelled base, and they are the ones we most enjoy.

Resin driveways in Oxshott and Claygate

Gated frontages, steep entrances off the lane and turning circles that have to work for two or three cars. We set falls so water leaves the gate rather than gathering at it.

Resin driveways in Walton-on-Thames and Hersham

Riverside plots with higher water tables, where permeable surfacing genuinely earns its keep. Existing tired tarmac is frequently sound enough to take a resin bound overlay, which saves both cost and disruption.

Resin driveways in Thames Ditton and East Molesey

Tighter town plots where a driveway is the first thing anyone sees. Small areas, laid seamlessly with no joints or kerb lines, transform a frontage in a couple of days.

What we do

Laid, maintained and restored.

01

New resin driveways

Excavated, prepared and laid by our own team, with SuDS-compliant drainage built in from the first spadeful. Suitable for Elmbridge's sandy soils and Surrey clay alike.

02

Revival and restoration

Many resin surfaces across Cobham, Esher and Weybridge were laid a decade or more ago. We deep clean, repair and reseal them, often restoring the surface at a fraction of the cost of replacement.

03

Overlays and refreshes

Where the existing base is sound, a resin bound overlay transforms a tired driveway in days, not weeks, with minimal disruption to the garden and the household.

04

Paths, patios and courtyards

The same finishes carried through the rest of the grounds, so paths, terraces and courtyards sit comfortably alongside the driveway.

Common questions

Asked across Surrey.

How much does a resin driveway cost in Surrey?

Every project is priced on its own merits, but as a guide, most residential driveways in Elmbridge fall between £80 and £120 per square metre, depending on the preparation the existing surface needs, the finish chosen and the drainage required. We prepare a written proposal after a site visit, with no obligation and no salesperson.

Are resin driveways suitable for heavy use and Surrey weather?

Yes. We use UV-stable resin and hand-graded aggregates, so the surface will not fade in summer or discolour in winter. It is fully permeable, which means rainwater drains through it rather than pooling, and it satisfies the SuDS regulations Elmbridge Borough Council expects for front-of-property surfacing.

Do you work outside Elmbridge?

Elmbridge and Surrey are our home patch, and we regularly take on projects across London, Sussex, Berkshire and Hampshire where the project deserves real care. Distance is rarely a barrier for the right work.

How long does an installation take?

A typical residential driveway takes between three and five working days, weather permitting, including excavation and preparation. Restoration and overlay projects are often quicker. We agree the schedule with you before a single stone is moved.

What does a resin driveway in Elmbridge cost per square metre?

Most Elmbridge driveways land between £80 and £120 per square metre laid. A straightforward overlay on a sound base sits at the lower end, a full excavation with new drainage and a long approach drive at the upper end. You get one written figure, not a range that moves later.

Can you repair or restore an existing resin driveway in Surrey?

Yes, and it is a large part of what we do. Loose stone, bald patches, colour fade and oil staining are usually repairable. We assess the original base first, then clean, repair and reseal, or overlay where the surface has come to the end of its life.

Do I need planning permission in Elmbridge?

In most cases no, because resin bound is permeable and a permeable front driveway normally falls within permitted development. Listed buildings and some conservation area frontages are the exception, and we will tell you before you commit.
